    "The story of the sword in the stone. Short version: There was a sword stuck in a stone, and only if you were the destined king could you remove it. Only the person to carry on the tradition of the kingdom would be able to pull the sword from the stone. King Arthur was the guy."

    "What you doing?"

    He got home late most nights, and left early most mornings, running around doing whatever he does to help people struggling with addiction stuff.

    overcome, as with emotions or perceptual stimuli
    We all have some kind of addiction eating at us. For some, it's jealousy. For some, it's the fear of not being accepted. For some, it's the feeling of being overwhelmed.

    a small book usually having a paper cover
    He reached in the backseat and handed me some pamphlets.
  18. integrity
    moral soundness
    I understood most of these, but the one that kept tripping me up was number five. Integrity.

    "See how it was still heavy after all those years, and how it didn't bend or start to disintegrate?"

    But can we come to a compromise?

    And like I said, Whit was there. But Coach wasn't. So something was offbeat.

    "If you wanna go see Coach, and...forfeit the championship, put a hand up."

    "Go 'head. Bounce. You ain't got the heart to be a champion," he sneered.

    We all jumped out and ran to the double doors, which automatically opened.
