book art

Book art is a medium of expression, like photography, oils, watercolour, digital art, or sculpture. It is a means of visual story-telling in which the simplest and the most complex ideas, concepts, and narratives are related using images and text. Artists books range from journals and collections of images to installations filling a room or hanging from the ceiling. They explore narrative, words, images; and encourage challenging the conventional notion of a book—the form it takes and how it is read—and in so doing offers alternatives to how a story is told.
