a room in a house where people can sit, relax, and talk
They sat in the hall because the parlor was so empty and gray-looking without its wall lit with orange and yellow confetti and skyrockets and women in gold-mesh dresses and men in black velvet pulling one-hundred-pound rabbits from silver hats.
Page 71: paragraph 1- line 4. The parlor is a place in the house of Montag where they have 3 wall-sized TVs. It is unusual for this room to be lethargic, since it usually is really noisy.
an open fabric woven together at regular intervals

Page 71: paragraph 1- line 6. This is the same situation as in the previous word. The gold-mesh dresses is just one of the few things that come up on their usually colorful walls.

Page 71:paragraph 1- line 6. Once again, the same situation is present. The vivid images that are normally on the wall are gone. Things like velvet, the material that a magician might be wearing, are mentioned.
The parlor was dead and Mildred kept peering in at it with a blank expression as Montag paced the floor and came back and squatted down and read a page as many as ten times, aloud.
Page 71: paragraph 1- line 8. Both Mildred and Montag are uneasy. Mildred is looking back to the parlor since all she does is be there watching different programs with her "family." Montag, too, can't stay still and is overwrought.
He opened another book. "'That favorite subject, Myself.'" He squinted at the wall. "'That favorite subject, Myself.'"
Page 72: paragraph 4- line 3. Montag is discussing with Mildred how Clarisse was so selfless unlike that line, and how she was the first person to see him as someone important.
Under the door sill, a slow, probing sniff, an exhalation of electric steam. Mildred laughed. "It's only a dog, that's what! You want me to shoo him away?"
Page 72: (line 29) paragraph 8- line 1. Someone is nearing the Montag's house and a dog is inspecting their house by carefully smelling it. Montag gets scared, as he thinks Mildred might give away the fact that they are in their house by being so noisy.
He stared at the parlor that was dead and gray as the waters of an ocean that might teem with life if they switched on the electronic sun.
Page 73: paragraph 2- line 2. Mildred mentions that there aren't people in books and that her 'family' is waiting for her in the parlor. She does not realize that the people in the parlor are as real as a person in a book, but her mind is closed by the fear of being caught in a crime.
a building or room where dead bodies are kept before burial
"... What about Clarisse McClellan, where do we look for her? The morgue? Listen!" (this was said by Guy Montag)
Page 72: paragraph 5- line 11. Montag is talking to Mildred of why they should read the books. He talks about the machine which cleansed her body and the old lady they burned. Montag still feels bad about Clarisse's death and mentions her because he wants to know about her. He talks of how books can show us the reality of our world and free us from our self-centered worlds.
They had sat in the green soft light without saying a word for a moment and then Montag talked about the weather and then the old man responded with a pale voice.
Page 74: paragraph 8(last)- line 4. Montag remembers one day when he saw a man hide something quickly (possibly a book). This man was scared when he saw Montag nearing him, but Guy had no reason to think the old man should have been scared.
