    a quantity that characterizes a statistical population

    a change in the order or arrangement of objects in a group
  33. plot
    a chart, map, or graph showing progress, distribution, etc.

    the entire aggregation from which samples can be drawn
  35. positive correlation
    a correlation in which large values of one variable are associated with large values of the other and small with small; the correlation coefficient is between 0 and +1

    a measure of how likely it is that some event will occur
  37. proportion
    relation with respect to comparative quantity or magnitude
  38. quadratic
    of or relating to the second power
  39. random sample
    a sample in which every element in the population has an equal chance of being selected
  40. random variable
    a variable quantity that is random
  41. randomization
    an arrangement or selection that depends on chance
  42. relative frequency
    the ratio of the number of observations in a statistical category to the total number of observations
