    When you are just saying it.
  2. allege
    report or maintain
    When you are suggesting (perhaps without proof) that something may be true.
  3. convey
    transmit or serve as the medium for transmission
    When you are really getting your point across.
  4. state
    the way something is with respect to its main attributes
    Saying it with 'no drama'... when you are being very 'matter of fact'.
  5. tell
    narrate or give a detailed account of
    Saying it to another person.
  6. order
    logical arrangement of different elements
    When what you say must be done!
  7. recite
    repeat aloud from memory
    When saying something you memorized, perhaps with a little dramatic effect.
  8. utter
    without qualification
    When said cautiously, or viscerally - perhaps in low tones.

    Saying it with some emotion - getting more than just the words across.

    express in speech
    Saying in precise words, what was previously only written or suggested.
