    hate coupled with disgust
    In the scriptures, something that causes disgust or hatred to the righteous and pure. Pride is abominable in the sight of the Lord (Jacob 2: 13-22).
  2. apostasy
    rejection of religious beliefs, political party, or cause
    A turning away from the truth by individuals, the Church, or entire nations. Moroni prophesied about apostasy in the last days (Morm. 8: 28, 31-41).

    the act of making amends for sin or wrongdoing

    A Nephite prophet, military general, and record keeper in the Book of Mormon. Mormon lived about A.D. 311-385. Ammaron instructed Mormon to prepare himself to take charge of the records and record keeping (Morm. 1: 2-5; 2: 17-18).

    A change of mind and heart that brings a fresh attitude toward God, oneself, and life in general. Repentance implies that a person turns away from evil and turns his heart and will to God, submitting to God's commandments and desires and forsaking sin. God commandeth all men every where to repent (2 Ne. 9: 23; 3 Ne. 11: 31-40).

    rescuing or protecting someone or something from harm
    To be saved from both physical and spiritual death. All people will be saved from physical death by the grace of God, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each individual can also be saved from spiritual death as well by the grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is free (2 Ne. 2: 4).
