    As long as someone was in a more precarious position than me, I was safe.
  13. flagrant
    conspicuously and outrageously bad or reprehensible
    I could now see phrases June must’ve taken the liberty of adding: worn-out clothes, flagrant outfit repeater, it’s time for a wardrobe refresh!
  14. perpetually
    everlastingly; for all time
    What no one said was that her newly sculpted eyebrows made her look perpetually surprised.
  15. fathom
    come to understand
    I could not fathom cutting him off completely.
