    After his death he was deified, or officially declared to be a god, and worshipped.
  2. succession
    the action or process of taking over an office or position
    Rome had no formal or set way to choose a new emperor. Succession was a serious problem.

    a strong hard building material made with gravel and cement
    Concrete is a building material made by mixing cement (a gray powder made from different materials) with small stones, sand, and water.
  4. aqueduct
    a conduit that carries water over a valley
    An aqueduct is a channel that moves water over land.

    A conversion is a heartfelt change in one's opinions or beliefs.
  12. martyr
    one who voluntarily suffers death
    Persecution produced martyrs, or people who die for their beliefs.
