When something is auspicious, it means that it is a good sign, a welcome omen of positive things to come.

    - E! (July 8, 2019)
New celebrity couple alert! Well, maybe. Singers Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello, who’ve recently been photographed together, are rumored to be a romantic pair. Some say that the timing is suspicious, because the two also have a new single and video to promote, “Señorita,” and giving the appearance of a relationship may just be a publicity stunt. Vocabulary.com can confirm that a crooner is a singer, but we cannot confirm whether the two are an item.

    having or conferring glory
The U.S. women staked their claim to being the best team in the program’s illustrious history Sunday, beating the Netherlands 2-0 for their fourth World Cup title.
    - USA Today (July 7, 2019)

In addition to becoming famous for their dominance on the field, the team has been outspoken in demanding that female athletes be given equal pay to their male counterparts. Illustrious means distinguished, prestigious and important.

  6. inspired
    of surpassing excellence
So after all this is said and done, and you still cannot get past the idea that choosing the incredible, sensational, highly-talented, gorgeous Halle Bailey is anything other than the INSPIRED casting that it is because she 'doesn't look like the cartoon one,' oh boy, do I have some news for you...about you.
    - The Hollywood Reporter (July 8, 2019)

YouTube viewers got a glimpse into the relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez this week when a tour diary video surfaced. In the clip, Lopez is disappointed in her performance after putting on a show when she was sick. Rodriguez assures her that she was terrific, and that the audience got more than their money’s worth. A lackluster performance lacks energy and doesn’t live up to the fans’ expectations.
