    The king of Egypt was told that the people had escaped.

    Then Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about them.
  13. chariot
    a two-wheeled, horse-drawn vehicle
    So he had his chariot made ready.
  14. pharaoh
    an ancient Egyptian king
    All Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen and troops chased them.
  15. pillar
    anything that approximates the shape of a column or tower
    The pillar of cloud also moved away from in front of them.
