Katherine Johnson
Katherine Johnson was a mathematician and computer scientist whose work was crucial to the success of NASA's Apollo Moon landing program and to the later Space Shuttle program. She received multiple awards from NASA for her important contributions, and President Barack Obama awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015.
