J.D. Salinger

J.D. Salinger was an American writer best known for his novel The Catcher in the Rye and his short stories. After the success of The Catcher in the Rye led to public attention and scrutiny, Salinger became reclusive and led an obsessively private life for more than a half-century. He died in 2010 at the age of 91.
