Deirdre Langeland is a children's author and editor who has published fiction and nonfiction works for elementary and middle school readers. Some of her most popular works include the graphic novels The Cool Code and The Cool Code 2.0: The Switch Glitch, which she created with illustrator Sarah Mai. Langeland's nonfiction book Meltdown: Earthquake, Tsunami, and Nuclear Disaster in Fukushima was a 2022 Notable Social Studies Trade Books List Selection and received a starred review from Kirkus.
