Ibram X. Kendi is an American author, historian, and leading scholar of race and discriminatory policy in America. His book Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America won the 2016 National Book Award for Nonfiction. In 2020, he published a "remix" of that book, co-authored with Jason Reynolds.
