In Memoriam 2023: Jimmy Buffett (1946–2023) Tribute List

Jimmy Buffett – American singer-songwriter, musician, author, and entrepreneur – was best known for his tropical folk-rock music, capturing "island escapism," especially in his "Big 8" hit songs, including "Margaritaville," "Come Monday," and "Cheeseburger in Paradise." Buffett's six-decade music career – incorporating thoughtful ballads, folk, rock, Caribbean, country, and even reggae music – produced eight gold albums and nine platinum/multi-platinum albums, while he became one of the most successful popular music performers. Building upon his musical fame, Buffett found success in multiple business ventures, including restaurant chains, hotels, and retirement communities. Hopefully his fans, the "Parrotheads," will appreciate this tribute which highlights Buffett's lyrics and biographical information.
