    A negatively charged particle with a charge of -1, a mass of 1/1836 of an amu and found outside the nucleus of an atom in the electron cloud.

    fundamental subatomic particle that has a fractional charge
    The definition above plus the following: the names of the quarks are top, bottom, charm, strange, up, down.
