    a word or phrase that reads the same backward as forward

  14. character
    an imaginary person represented in a work of fiction
    The characters in the play resembled normal high school students with many of the same interests and concerns.
  15. setting
    the context and environment in which something is situated
    The setting of a piece of literature includes not only where the action is taking place, but also when the action takes place.
  16. ellipsis
    a mark indicating that words have been omitted
    And editorial choices, composite characters, compressions and ellipses—10 years compressed in two-and-a-half hours.
  17. analogy
    drawing a comparison in order to show a similarity

    the set of facts or circumstances that surround a situation
    Locking eyes with another person can feel bonding or threatening, depending on the context.
