  2. simile
    a figure of speech expressing a resemblance between things
    It means "keep going the same way throughout the song."
  3. allegretto
    in a moderately quick tempo
    This means "rather quickly."
  4. allegro
    in a quick and lively tempo
    This means "quickly."
  5. andante
    at a moderately slow tempo
    Andante means "walking tempo."
  6. presto
    at a very fast tempo (faster than allegro)
    This means "very fast." I love playing "presto!"
  7. fortissimo
    to be played very loudly
    This means "very loud."
  8. pianissimo
    a direction in music; to be played very softly
    Pianissimo means "very soft."
  9. prestissimo
    extremely fast; as fast as possible
    This means "the fastest you can play." Trust me, it's really hard to play that fast!
  10. piano
    a musical instrument played by pressing black and white keys
    This refers to an instrument that all of these words are centered on.
  11. forte
    an asset of special worth or utility
    This means "loud."
