    the body that formally selects the United States president

    an advocate of rule by and for the people
    Also referred to as liberals, they want to instigate change and reform. This party usually attracts lower income citizens and those described as minorities

    a vote that blocks a decision
  21. pandemic
    an outbreak of disease that is geographically widespread
  22. diverse
    distinctly dissimilar or unlike
  23. immigration
    movement of people into a country or area
  24. statute
    an act passed by a legislative body
  25. moderate
    marked by avoidance of extravagance or extremes
