Where were word learners in 2022?

This year, users in more than 250 countries across the world logged in to Vocabulary.com to boost their word knowledge! The countries with the most users are the United States of America, India, China, Vietnam, and Canada. We are thrilled to see word learning take place worldwide, for both native speakers and English language learners!

In the US, Florida topped the charts for most words mastered in 2022 with over 5 million. The top mastered word in Florida was claim, mastered by over 7,500 learners in the Sunshine State. Other states in the top 5 include:
