villatic

/vɪˈlætɪk/
IPA guide

The adjective villatic describes anything that's typical of the countryside. If you decide to move from the city to a villatic area, you'll be trading people, tall buildings, and traffic for trees, fields, and farm animals.

Villatic shares a Latin root with villagevillaticus, "having to do with a farmstead or country house." When you imagine living in a small, rural village, you're picturing a villatic life. Forests, fields of wheat, small downtown streets, and acres of meadow are all villatic, as are the people who live in such rustic settings.
