Someone or something described as spooked has been struck with fear, perhaps by something like a sudden loud noise. A spooked horse may rear up and maybe even throw off its rider before galloping away.

Have you ever felt spooked? How about in an amusement park’s haunted house? Some of the gruesome creatures, images, and sounds pop up so suddenly, that you might catch a spooked look on your face in the haunted hall of mirrors. In fact, the best thing for the haunted house business is to have as many spooked customers as possible!
