Anything that's shaved has been shorn or cut closely — like the shaved head of a new army recruit or a popular rock star.

Someone who's bald may have lost their hair to age or illness — or they might have a shaved head because they like the way the breeze feels on their scalp. After surgery, your dog might have to live with a shaved belly for a while.
