Other forms: nunchucks

Nunchucks are traditional Japanese training weapons consisting of two wooden sticks connected by a short rope or chain. East Asian martial artists use nunchucks to practice agility and coordination.

Nunchucks, or nunchaku, are traditional Okinawan weapons that may have evolved from an agricultural tool used for threshing rice. Not much is confirmed about the history of nunchucks, but their use as a weapon is limited to holding one stick and swinging the other, or restraining an opponent's wrist. After they were used by actor and martial artist Bruce Lee in the 1970s, nunchucks became commonly used in martial arts like karate and Kung fu.
