2022 has been a great year for word learning with Vocabulary.com!
To date, students have mastered 355 million words and answered over 7.5 billion questions. In the 2021-22 school year, nearly 1 million students participated in the Vocabulary Bowl mastering a collective total 32 million words words.
Our team has continued to improve and update our offerings and provide educators with a better way to teach vocabulary. We added to our 13,000+ curated vocabulary lists including some of our favorites: Essential Academic Vocabulary for Middle School Students, Essential Word Roots, The Outsiders, and words from William Shakespeare.
All of these facts and figures add up to a successful year in word learning. And that success didn’t go unnoticed. Vocabulary.com was proud to be recognized with a number of awards in 2022. We are honored to have these awards but more importantly, we’re honored to be helping so many students learn new vocabulary.
Academics' Choice

At the beginning of the 2022-23 school year, Tech and Learning Awards of Excellence gave Vocabulary.com the Back to School award.
