It’s that time of year again, basketball playoff season is underway! And the action is heating up on the leaderboards for our Second Annual March Madness Vocabulary Bowl Challenge.

Get Schooled

This season we’re throwing down the gauntlet and upping the ante. On March 10 and March 30, schools across the map are invited to compete in not one but TWO special One-Day Challenges. The word-learning action plays out on the daily leaderboards for 24 hours as students master as many words as they can on Vocabulary.com by playing The Challenge.

Awards & Prizes

The schools that master the most words on March 10 and March 30 in Division I, II, and III will be crowned the March Madness Champions. It's a claim to fame which will earn them an official Vocabulary Bowl achievement certificate and hefty bragging rights. Certificates will also be awarded to the top 5 high schools and middle/elementary schools in Division I, II and III for both days.

This year your school has the opportunity to play in one or both One-Day Challenges — giving teachers and students double the chances to win special awards and fun prizes.

Prizes will be awarded to:

  • The top scoring student in each Vocab Jam
  • The teacher with the most student participation in all of the Vocab Jams
