"In Response to Executive Order 9066"

The subtitle of the poem explains Executive Order 9066: "All Americans of Japanese Descent Must Report to Relocation Centers." Dwight Okita contrasts the harsh and suspicious tone of this official order with the innocent obedience of a fourteen-year-old girl.
