The acquisition funnel, or obtaining funnel, is often a consumer focused marketing and advertising design which illustrates the theoretical purchaser journey in the direction of the purchase of an excellent or support.
In 1898, E. St. Elmo Lewis made a design which mapped a theoretical customer journey from the moment a brand name or item attracted buyer notice to the point of motion or purchase.
