"Hi, I'm Sam Mantics, Dean of Admissions & Directions at Vocabulary University®.
We hope you will try the interactive puzzles below.
They are part of an extensive set of eight "election campaign activities" we have created for you.
The words in these interactive puzzles are in the story below. Do you know what each one means? The story will help clarify their meanings.
The political campaign is in full swing. The highly contested election has magnificent ORATORY from new candidates and INCUMBENTS alike. Surprisingly, the SUPPORTERS on each side seem to have an AGENDA that focuses on the facts without name-calling and negative innuendo. However, the CONSTITUENCY that favors the RADICAL movement won't cooperate. They brought up REVELATIONS about both opponents that were erroneous. The media appears confused amid the CONTROVERSY and shows their bias by taking sides. Finally, each main party, those espousing LIBERALISM and those espousing CONSERVATISM, decide to NOMINATE two DELEGATES each. These four people will dictate the facts to the media and repudiate any twisted rhetoric.Complete the three puzzles below. If you can not solve all or just solve part, hit the submit button twice at the bottom of the page to get the correct answers. You have permission to print a copy of this exercise.
