consenting

Consenting means having given your permission. Someone who has consented to something can be described as consenting.

People are often said to be consenting or not in the context of illegal activity. If by allowing your son to live in your house when you know that he is selling drugs in the neighborhood, you are implicitly consenting to his behavior, and perhaps even possibly an accessory to a crime. Sex is considered illegal unless it takes place between two consenting adults.
