    For OSTENSIBLE reasons, the EMISSARY hoped to RECTIFY a TENUOUS diplomatic situation. Dressed in his OSTENTATIOUS REGALIA, he quelled an INSURRECTION. As a result of his help, fighting was INTERMITTENT and in REMISSION. With the DEMISE of rebellion and the INCORRIGIBLE insurgents, the emissary could finally PORTEND a peaceful time for the troubled country.
