VOCAB U. - Session 127-Level One Contextual Story

All the words in Level #1 come from the root/cells: GRAD-GRESS, MOT-MOB and CAD-CID-CAS.
Do you know what each one means?
Cinny Nym
Cinny Nym gives you the answers:

  • GRAD-GRESS: step, degree
  • MOT-MOB: move
  • CAD-CID-CAS: fal, sink, come to an end
Please read the paragraph-story below to help you study and learn new words. In the Session #127 activities following the story, the exercises will help you determine and understand the meaning of the twelve new words. The 12 story words are listed alphabetically below.
  • cascade, casualty, centigrade, commotion, emotional, gradually, geaduate, graduation, incidence, ingredient, momentarily, occasional, remote

On that special GRADUATION day, the temperature is a nice 23 degrees CENTIGRADE. The procession will begin MOMENTARILY. It is an EMOTIONAL moment where parents observe a CASCADE of flowing black robes. After all that hard work no one wants to be a CASUALTY of the education system. One GRADUATE might decide to work in a REMOTE area where the fast-paced activity and the INCIDENCE of COMMOTION would be slight. GRADUALLY, the GRADUATE might think that an OCCASIONAL sound of a bigger city would be nice, an INGREDIENT he/she had not ever considered!
