  • A---Shedding the leaves annually (certain trees and shrubs); the falling off at a particular season, stage or growth (leaves, horns, teeth)
  • B---State of putting into movement or circulation; act of assembling or making ready for war duty
  • C---Western; the characteristic features of people born in the world west of Asia, esp. Europe and the Americas
  • D---A usually recurring salient thematic element (arts); a dominant idea or central theme; a single or repeated design or color
  • E---Characterized by or developed in the course of an evolutionary process involving increasing simplification of bodily structure; decreasing in rate as the base increases
  • F---Decline to a low, destitute or demoralized state; moral or intellectual decadence

  • K---Marked by decline, decay or deterioration; characterized by or appealing to self-indulgence
  • L---Infringement or violation of a law, command or duty; a sin
