Session #138 -- LEVEL THREE PUZZLES:

Sam Mantics
"Hi, I'm Sam Mantics, Dean of Admissions & Directions at Vocabulary University®. Explore our Level 3 educational activities: Level 3 Fill-in-the-Blanks, Definition Matching, Synonym & Antonym Encounter, Contextual Story, Level 3 Word Find, Level 3 Crossword and True or False?

In this session we will study these roots/cells: JUR-JUS, CRE-CERT-CRIM and LEG. Do you know what each one means? The following story will help clarify their meanings.

In the JURISDICTION XIX, ALLEGATIONS and RECRIMINATIONS occur often. One man was convicted of PERJURY and police will RELEGATE him to prison. Another man was UNJUSTLY declared ILLEGITIMATE. Someone else did ABJURE his heritage and alter allegiances. Noxious gases do SECRETE into the ATMOSPHERE. The mayor will CERTIFY that these are facts. Few citizens can DISCRIMINATE good acts from bad. What a terrible LEGACY to have in a town!
Make time to learn the roots! Then, after you have memorized each one, complete the three puzzles below. If you can not solve all or just solve part, hit the submit button twice at the bottom of the page to get the correct answers. For further help, please go to a link on suggestions for using Vocabulary.com

Type in and submit the 12 answers to the Rooty*Hoot*Hoot® brand puzzles in the boxes INSIDE the puzzle. You will get immediate feedback in the form of the correct answers and the use of the words in context. Other helpful hints (synonyms & antonyms and a word bank menu) will assist in your personal vocabulary acquisition. Suggestion: create your own personal "vocabulary-word" story using these Level 3 words and send it to your teacher's or parent's email."
