Session #136 -- LEVEL THREE PUZZLES:

Sam Mantics
"Hi, I'm Sam Mantics, Dean of Admissions & Directions at Vocabulary University®. Explore our Level 3 educational activities: Level 3 Fill-in-the-Blanks, Definition Matching, Synonym & Antonym Encounter, Contextual Story, Level 3 Word Find, Level 3 Crossword and True or False?

In this session we will study these roots/cells: DICT/DIC/DIT, VEN/VENT and DUCT/DUC. Do you know what each one means? The following story will help clarify their meanings.

Do you know that a king may ABDICATE his position and still retain his DUCATS? If a ruler is ADDICTED to power, he will need an INDUCEMENT to give up the throne. Once a decision is made, despite a MALEDICTION from several clan chiefs, a royal EDICT will help CIRCUMVENT some of the objections. With the ADVENT of a SEDUCTIVE COVENANT, few citizens would ferociously INTERVENE against a plan that would be CONDUCIVE to the king's removal.
Make time to learn the roots! Then, after you have memorized each one, complete the three puzzles below. If you can not solve all or just solve part, hit the submit button twice at the bottom of the page to get the correct answers. You can also go to a link on suggestions for using Vocabulary.com

Type in and submit the 12 answers to the Rooty*Hoot*Hoot® brand puzzles in the boxes INSIDE the puzzle. You will get immediate feedback in the form of the correct answers and the use of the words in context. Other helpful hints (synonyms & antonyms and a word bank menu) will assist in your personal vocabulary acquisition. Create your own personal "vocabulary-word" story using these Level 3 words!"
