Sam Mantics
"Hi, I'm Sam Mantics, Dean of Admissions & Directions at Vocabulary University. sam@vocabulary.com. I can give you some answers to the FAQs - Frequently Asked Question and Answers - from this effort between America Online and Vocabulary University.

How do I earn my AOL (Awarding Outstanding Learning) diploma?
The Vocabulary University puzzle content for AOL will change frequently to reinforce the editorial content on the Learning and Reference Channel at AOL. If you send in 9 different submissions over any time period (they do not have to be sequential) you will earn your color diploma.

How will I know how many submissions I have completed?
The faculty at Vocabulary University notifies you twice by email - after you have sent in your forth submission and then, after your eighth different puzzle submission.

Where can I find other vocabulary puzzles and ones from previous months?
You can go to www.vocabulary.com and complete 3 different grade level puzzles to earn additional diplomas, but they are not AOL diplomas. To see past month's AOL puzzles, go to the AOL archive.

If I have an idea for a word puzzle, would Vocabulary University like to know about it? If so, where do I send it?
Vocabulary University is pleased to review any ideas! Please contact Jan and Carey Orr Cook , aka "Rich Encounter" via email rich@vocabulary.com.

What new categories will Vocabulary University feature in the next months? What has been featured already?
The initial "Environmental" puzzles were followed up with Geography Awareness Week puzzles. Categories have been as diverse as "New Year Resolutions", "Women's History" Month, Earth Day, "The History of Photography", "Monsters", "Summer Insects", "Solar Eclipse" and many, many more. Go to the AOL archive for the list of all the puzzles created to date.

Why are the thematic puzzles (i.e. Football, Valentines Day and California Gold Rush) not interactive?
At Vocabulary University there are many different vocabulary exercises (thematic puzzles, classic text vocabulary lists, RSVP-Lesson plan puzzles, WordCity, and word puzzle contests). Generally, the AOL CURRENT MONTHLY content is the the ONLY interactive puzzles on the AOL site. We will be working with America Online to make your experience at VOCAB U. entertaining, enjoyable and educational, too! Please tell us if there are certain things you would like to see.

Will Vocabulary University put these AOL puzzles in booklet form some day?
We do not anticipate creating a separate booklet of multiple AOL puzzles since they can all be accessed for free on the web.
However, we have created "grade-level" puzzle booklets at Vocabulary University. Please send us your name and email if you are interested in our booklets. rich@vocabulary.com
